The Cranes of Uganda will square off against Nigeria, Tanzania and Tunisia in Group C of the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations to be played in Morocco.

With just 14 days left for the coveted tournament, Paul Put, the head coach of Uganda, on Sunday, 7th December, named a provisional 30-man squad, which he will trim to 28, which is required by CAF for the tournament.

The team will camp in Morocco and train for the next 11 days before they move to the official base for the tournament.

The squad is headlined by veteran Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango. Hibernian defender Jordan Obita was selected among the defenders. In midfield, Baba Alhasan of Romanian side FCSB is named among the squad. Steve Mukwala, formerly of Asante Kotoko, is named among the forwards.
