Hearts of Oak have been unbelievably disastrous recently. The club was eliminated by Division Two side True Life at Pobiman. It was the club’s worst results in nearly a decade.
Postmortem was needed, and many fans blamed the club’s inability to settle the players a three three-month debt.
On Wednesday morning on Sporty FM Accra, Opare Addo, the PRO of Accra Hearts of Oak, officially confirmed that, “The players and technical team have now received their three months’ outstanding salaries.
“The only amount left to be settled is the December salary,” he added.
The players were all over the media, blaming their horrible performances on the delay of their three-month salaries.
Now, the club expects more from the playing body, starting with a visit from Nations FC, followed by a trip to Dormaa-Ahenkro to face Aduana Stars and a home game against Samartex to end the year 2025.
Hearts of Oak now sits in 7th place on the league log, having won 21 points from 13 games. They are five points behind the leaders, Medeama SC. The club have won just one game in their last six games, losing three, including the shameful 1-0 defeat in the FA Cup and drawing two.
