Sudan will compete for the 10th time in the Africa Cup of Nations after qualifying with Angola ahead of Ghana and Niger. Their qualification was masterminded by the 65 year old experience Ghanaian head coach James Kwesi Appiah.

Sudan is placed in Group E with Algeria, Equatorial Guinea and Burkina Faso for the 2025 AFCON.

The Falcons Jediane do not boast of stars but play as a team and can hurt anyone on anyday.

Kwesi Appiah’s 26-man list is dominated by locally based players who play for giants Al-Hilal Oumdurman d Al-Merreikh.

Four players ply their trade in Libya, with one each playing in South Sudan, Netehrlands, Australia and Thailand. Three are unattached at the moment.

Sudan will open their campaign against Algeria on 24th December. Equatorial Guinea and Burkina Faso are the next opponents on matchdays 2 and 3, respectively.
