English Premier League clubs were furious with most of the decisions Video Assistant Referee took during the 2023-24 season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers complained bitterly about being cheated with the technology as they thought it was never fair to them hence raising huge concerns about its usage.

Wolves had hoped the English top flight could follow Sweden and ditch the use of the technology but their wish was not granted.

On Thursday, 19 clubs out of the 20 set to compete in the EPL in the 2024-25 season voted to keep VAR, with only Wolves, who raised the motion, voting to scrap the system.

The 19 clubs believe the VAR usage is not perfect but it must be maintained and needs an improvement.
