The Constitutional Review Committee is presenting its final report to President John Dramani Mahama today, December 22, 2025, at the Presidency in Accra.
The presentation marks the culmination of several months of nationwide consultations and technical review of Ghana’s 1992 Constitution, aimed at proposing reforms to strengthen democratic governance.
The committee, chaired by constitutional law expert Professor H. Kwasi Prempeh, was inaugurated on January 30, 2025, and tasked with gathering public input and conducting in-depth analysis on key governance, accountability, and institutional reform issues.
The eight-member committee includes Justice Sophia Adinyira, Professor Kwame Karikari, and former Electoral Commission Chairperson Charlotte Osei.
