Ghana’s American, Canadian and Mexican dreams are very alive and kicking after working very hard to defeat Central African Republic.
Group I was very open after matchday three as many predicted the positions of the teams will change after MD4 and truly Ghana has moved to the top of the group.
Louis Mafouta scored twice in the first half to put the Minows in a commanding lead after Abdul Fatawu Issahaku won a penalty which was converted by Jordan Ayew to put Ghana in the lead.
The Black Stars stepped up in the second half with Jordan Ayew scoring twice to take his tally to three on the night. It was a sweet hattrick for Jordan after immense insilts from Ghanaians.
Abdul Fatawu scored the other goal for Ghana.
Louis Mafouta’s third late in the game reduced the deficit but it was too late for Centeal African Republic who put up a very respectful performance.
Ghana sits on top of the group having won 9 points from possible 12. The other teams in Group I will play their games on Tuesday.
