Dreams FC defeated already relegated Real Tamale United 8-1 at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu to officially exclude themselves from the relegation battle.

Agyenim Boateng Mensah scored five goals sending him to 2nd on the top scorer chart with 14 goals.

It was rumoured that RTU owed the players five months’ salary so they decided to boycott the game.

All the 11 players that started for RTU were impersonated at Dawu. It is confirmed that 29 of the 30 registered players of RTU didn’t attend the game but most of them had their names on the score sheet.

“Our CEO Mr Zakaria Safianu took his division two side Galaxy FC and one other division two side to play the Dreams FC game on Wednesday after the main team boycotted the game,” said Lukeman Sheriff of RTU on Light FM.

RTU has disgraced Ghanaian football and something ought to be done about it.

This is a criminal case and must be treated so. The game was fixed, per what transpired in Dawu. The most interesting news on the day was, Lord Hilary Adabo, the scorer of RTU’s goal was in Tamale but scored the only consolation goal against Dreams FC.
