Phobia fans visited the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in their numbers. They cheered the club on from the Green Stand as it motivated the team to record a first league win over Asante Kotoko in Kumasi since 2015 in the Ghana Premier League. The fans’ contribution towards the wonderful victory was immeasurable.

Hearts of Oak secured a dull and disappointing goalless draw at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in week 23 of the GPL. The atmosphere was not encouraging compared to the one they created in week 22 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Didi Dramani’s charges are in for a title challenge, undeniably, and must improve upon the inconsistencies demonstrated throughout the season.

On Sunday, Hearts of Oak will travel to Bibiani to face Gold Stars at the dangerous Dun’s Park. The game promises to be cagey because of the positions of the teams on the log.

Defending champions Gold Stars are just three points behind the leaders Medeama as they sit in second place.

Accra Hearts of Oak sits in third with five points behind Medeama and just two behind second-place Gold Stars.

The head coach of Hearts of Oak has urged the fans of the club around Tarkwa and the areas nearer to Bibiani to visit Duns Park to motivate the team

“They are they were massive last Sunday, and we entreated them to continue this approach that we are in this struggle together, and so they should keep supporting us. Our fans in the Ashanti region need to come around. Those close to Tarkwa and other environs need to come around on Sunday to give us their mighty support as our number 12 players,” Dramani told Hearts TV.

With 23 rounds already played, the battle for the title starts now because six teams are currently in contention for the title.

Bibiani Gold Stars hosts Hearts of Oak at Dun’s Park with kick-off scheduled at 3:00 pm on Sunday, 1st March
