President John Dramani Mahama is currently addressing Parliament as he delivers the 2026 State of the Nation Address (SONA) today, Thursday.
The address, being delivered in accordance with Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution, is expected to provide a comprehensive assessment of the state of the nation and outline the government’s policy priorities for the year ahead.
President Mahama is expected to focus on critical national issues, including economic recovery, job creation, infrastructure development, education, healthcare, energy, and governance reforms. Measures aimed at stabilising the economy and easing the burden on Ghanaians are also anticipated to feature prominently in the address.
