The Nsawam Medium Security Prison will welcome a notorious murderer to the house after he was sentenced to life imprisonment.

The Ghana Police Service in October 2026 arrested the convict after investigations were made about the murder of Yahaya Issah.

The Wa High Court on Wednesday, 4th March, revealed that Shariff Abdulai alias Cristo has murdered 23 people. He was arrested for the gruesome killing of Issah Yahaya and later pleaded guilty to killing 22 others.

Shariff has killed 16 people in Wa, five in Bole and one each in Banda Nkwanta and Bamboi.

Shariff was arraigned before the High Court on 4th March, where he pleaded guilty to the charge. The presiding Judge, His Lordship Justice Osei-Wusu Antwi, sentenced him to life imprisonment.
