The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has confirmed it will expedite the appeal by the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) regarding the decision to strip them of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title.

The Federation of Senegalese Football is challenging the Confederation of African Football (CAF) ruling that awarded the championship to Morocco following a controversial forfeit.

The dispute stems from the January 18 final, where Senegal initially defeated Morocco 1-0 before a 17-minute protest walk-off led to a reversed 3-0 decision against them.

Senegal, calling the ruling unacceptable, seeks a swift resolution to overturn the penalty.

CAS is in the process of appointing an arbitral panel and setting a procedural timeline, with Senegal requesting a suspension of standard deadlines until full, written grounds are provided by CAF.

While an expedited process is pledged, a final, binding decision may still take several months.
