The Department of Urban Roads (DUR), under the Ministry of Roads and Highways, has announced that work to improve the Inner Ring Road in Kumasi will begin soon and has established a Grievance Redress Committee to address concerns from residents and businesses affected by the project.

The project will see the dualization of the Inner Ring Road from the Santasi Roundabout to the Ahodwo Roundabout, with improvements to both roundabouts, under the JICA Cooperation Framework, in a public notice signed by the Ashanti Regional Director, Surv. Na-Em Iddrisu, the department said the Grievance Redress Committee (GRC) was established on June 30, 2026, to receive and address any concerns arising from the project’s implementation.
