The University for Development Studies (UDS) has been crowned African University Football Champions for the second consecutive year.
UDS defeated Julius Nyerere University of Tanzania 2–1 to retain the continental title at the FASU 12th All Africa University Games.
The victory makes UDS the first university football team in Africa to win the continental championship twice in a row.
UDS won the title last year and went on to represent Africa at the World University Football Championship, where they emerged champions.
The latest victory means UDS currently holds both the African and World University Football titles.
