The family of a 24-year-old petroleum engineering graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is seeking justice following the circumstances surrounding the demise of their daughter.
According to a post on X by an account named Edhub, the deceased who has been identified as Lois Abena Koranteng was reportedly found unconscious in a pool while on a business trip with her boss and his driver on June 8, 2024.
Reports of the incident revealed that the deceased, her boss, and his driver lodged into separate rooms in a hotel at Takoradi for a night.
However, a hotel worker on the dawn of June 8, 2024, discovered the body of Lois in the hotel swimming pool, wearing just a bra and underwear.
Lois was quickly rushed to the nearest hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The police, after an official complaint was made, conducted an autopsy to determine if there was foul play. Autopsy results revealed no cuts or blood stains on any part of her body.
CCTV cameras in the hotel were mysteriously not functioning, according to the hotel, thus their inability to provide footage of the incident.
Investigations are still ongoing as the family seeks to unravel the truth surrounding the death of their child.
