“We need your support financially to succeed in the CAF Champions League”- Samartex C.E.O to Akufo-Addo

Richard Duah Nsenkyire has appealed to the president of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo to financially assist Samartex, Ghana’s representative in the upcoming 2024-25 CAF Champions League season.

“We need your support financially to succeed in the CAF Champions League”, FC Samartex President Richard Duah Nsenkyire said to the president of Ghana.

The biggest problem in Ghana’s club football in the last 15 years has been money and no one knows exactly when it will end.

Betpawa withdrew their sponsorship for the league in the middle of last season while official broadcasters, Startimes, decided not renew their sponsorship for the league when the season immediately ended.

Ghana Premeir League is now in financial pain as it will make life a very difficult one for any club partaking in the league or inter-club competition in the upcoming season.

It is little surprise to see the Club C.E.O of the year calling for help from the first gentleman of the land.

Samartex will face Cameroonian champions Victoria United in the first round of the qualifiers of the 2024-25 CAF Champions League.
