The USA has won an incredible
61 medals in total. America has 14 golds, 24 silvers and 23 bronze medals and they are second as it stands.
France has won 41 medals in total with 12 being gold, 14 silvers and 15 bronzes.
Africa as a continent has won just 8 medals in total. South Africa leads the table with 4 of which 1 is gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
Uganda is the only other African country to win gold. Joshua Cheptegui of Uganda won the 10,000m in a grand style to lift gold.
Tunisia and Ethiopia each have won a silver medal with Egypt’s bronze medal making it 8 for the continent.
