Samartex 1996 began their Africa journey with a trip to Cameroon. The Timber Giants from Samraboi are the champions of Ghana and was drawn in the preliminary round to face Victoria United, champions of Cameroon, in the CAF Champions League.
Samartex traveled to Japoma Sports Stadium to face the king of the Central African nation.
