Black Princesses coach Yussif Basigi has unveiled his final squad for the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.

The squad features a blend of international and domestic talent, showcasing some of the best young female footballers from Ghana.

Among the key inclusions is Auburn University’s goalkeeper Jenna Kayla Sarpong, who is expected to bring her experience to the team’s defense.

Also making the squad is Alexandra Emefa Tay, a promising defender from Seattle United ECNL, who will be crucial in shoring up the backline.

Midfielder Stella Nyamekye has returned to the squad after recovering from an injury that sidelined her during the African Games in March.

Her presence in the midfield is anticipated to add creativity and stability to the team’s play.

Leading the attack will be Mafia Nyame from AS FAR, who will be joined by Salamatu Abdulai and Mary Amponsah of Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

This trio is expected to provide the firepower needed as the Black Princesses aim to make a strong impact on the world stage.

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup is set to take place in Colombia from Saturday, August 31, to Sunday, September 22, 2024.

Ghana has been drawn into Group E, where they will face tough competition from Japan, Austria, and New Zealand. The team will be looking to advance past the group stage and make their mark in the tournament.
