The race for AFCON 2025 will commence just next week. Nigeria is in Group D alongside Libya, Rwanda and Benin.
New coach Bruno Labbadia wasted no time and immediately announced his first squad for Matchday 1 and 2 of the Morocco 2025 qualifiers a day after been appointed.
The squad boast of the in-demand Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. Rebel Atalanta forward Ademola Lokman, AC Milan’s Samu Chukueze and Bayer 04 Leverkusen’s hit man, Victor Boniface are all included.
English Premier League duo Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi are included in the midfield department as defenders Calvin Bassey and Ola Aina are also part.
Maduka Okoye and Stanley Nwabali headline the goal keeping department.
The Super Eagles will host Benin and travel to Rwanda in the September qualifiers.
