Nsoatreman won the 2024 MTN FA Cup while Samartex made history by winning the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League title.

As it is, the winners of these two competetions lock horns whenever it is seven days to commence the new season.

Samartex won both legs in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League against Cameroonian champions and are confident to lift their second major trophy in a space of three months.

Nurudeen Amadu and his charges won 2-0 on aggregate against Victoria United and they are preparing to face Moroccan champions Raja Casablanca. This game will help them prepare immensely for that crucial tie.

Nsoatreman on the other hand brushed aside Elect Sport of Chad in their playoff in the Confederation Cup easily. The Nsoatre-based club has set up a crunch class against Constantine of Algeria. The MTN FA Cup winners have also targeted another trophy after Maxwell Konadu led them to make history in July. Yaw Prekoh has replaced Maxxy and he has been continuing from where his predecessor ended.

At the TNA Park in Tarkwa, a tough encounter is expected between Samartex and Nsoatreman.

The new season (2024-25) will commence on next Saturday.
