“Embarrasment”, that’s the key word here. Finally, the fantastic skipper has spoken. Stephen Appiah has expressed his disappointment in the likelihood that Ghana will host Sudan in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers in October outside the country.

The ex-Black Stars Captain, Stephen Appiah said in an interview, “Playing a qualifier outside Ghana is an ”embarrassment”.

No one can say that it is not embarrassing because Ghana should be far above this situation.

Stephen Appiah, 43, led Ghana’s quest to advertise themselves at the world stage in football so he knows all that it takes to be successful in qualifiers.

Ghana first played in the FIFA World Cup in 2006 in Germany and Stephen Appiah was the skipper.

He was also part of the squad that reached the quarter-finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup played in South Africa.
