The first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup play off between Ghanaian side Nsoatreman and Algerian side Constantine ended in a 2-0 victory for the North Africans.
Yaw Preko’s side was a huge underdog considering the facts that they were playing against a side from a country Ghanaian clubs have struggled against for a long time. Nsoatreman also played away from their favorite Nana Konamansa Park in Nsoatre.
The Algerians had an unforgettable first half as they scored twice through Zakaria Benchaa in the 11th and 27th minutes to put the tie way beyond the Ghanaians.
The second half was like a mere exercise for the Algerians because they showed no seriousness. They knew the tie was done and dusted hence putting little effort in the rest of the game.
Nsoatreman tried to reduce the deficit but all to no avail as star forwards Rahaman, Walid Neymar Meider and Diyou all failing to hit top form.
