Transfer News: Daniel Amartey mutually terminates his Besiktas contract

Besiktas and Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey have parted ways after finally reaching an agreement.

Amartey becomes a free agent after mutually terminating his contract with Turkish giants.

The 29-year-old Ghanaian center back last played for Besiktas in the 1-1 draw against Basaksehir in Week 31 of the Turkish Super Lig. It is 5 good months since Amartey last kicked a ball in a competitive game.

The decision to mutually cancel his contractntract is a win-win situation for both parties as Besiktas wanted him out while he also wanted to leave the club.

After 7 seasons with Leicester City, Amartey left the English club and signed for Besiktas for the 2023-24 season. Just a season and 27 appearances, the Ghanaian has ended his union with the Turkish club.
