Medeama beats Legon Cities 1-0 to move top of GPL table

One of the favourites to win the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League, Medeama SC, has started the season on a good note after winning their two games played so far.

After the narrow 1-0 victory over Accra Lions on Matchday One, the Mauve and Yellow recorded another 1-0 win at the University of Ghana Stadium over the Royals in Accra.

Kamaridini Mamudu’s 21st minute strike made the difference for the Tarkwa-based club.

Legon Cities has started the season on a very horrible note after losing their first two games. The 2-1 defeat at the Duns Park on matchday 1 against Bibiani Gold Stars was followed by a home defeat by Medeama on Saturday afternoon.

Nebojsa Kapor’s side , Medeama, have taking a commanding lead on the table and will face new boys, Holy Stars, in their next game.
