Ghana Premier League on Sunday: Accra Hearts of Oak visits Kpando Heart of Lions
“Hearts of Oak’s problem is not coaching”- former Baord Member Frank Nelsen
Aboubakar Ouattara: “We need to survive and that is the only thing I can tell you”

It will be very difficult to prevent Hearts of Oak fans from criticising and insulting the team at the moment.

They are in deep pains because it is 15 long years since they lost the first two games of the season. It was in the 2009/2010 season when defending champions, Phobia, lost 2-0 away to Heart of Lions in Week 1 and 2-0 at home to King Faisal in week 2. This horrible record has never happened again in the history of Hearts of Oak.

Hearts of Oak eventually finished third with 6 points behind the winners, Aduana Stars so maybe fans can take consolation from what happened at the end of the 2009/10 season.

After the 2-0 defeat in Kpando against Heart of Lions, Phobia head coach Ouattara expressed his disappointment in the fans who always insult the team.

“They can criticize us, they can say the coach is not good, sack him, him the players are bad, this selection is poor, sack the players, I understand them and I will take it because it is part of the game”.

“But what is hard to take is the insults on the players and the technical team, public insults is not good to consume and I think that’s what we can’t take”, Ouattara added.

2 games played, 2 defeats suffered, 3 goals conceded, 0 goals scored, bottom of the table: this is unbelievable and unacceptable
