It’s just 7 months ago that AS Roma sacked Jose Mourinho and replaced him with their darling boy, Daniel De Rossi. The “new manager bounce” worked perfectly for the former Italy and Roma midfielder as his side won 6 of the first 7 games he managed losing only to Inter Milan.

AS Roma played well and even reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League and lost 4-2 on aggregate against Bayer Leverkusen. The Giallorossi finished 6th in the Serie A as it was a sign they were going to do very good in the 2024-25 season under De Rossi.

€100m was spent on Laliga top scorer Artem Dovbyk from Girona, Matias Soule of Juventus, Dahl Samuel from Djurgarden and Enzo Le Fee of Rennes hence a lot was expected.

After matchday 4 in the Serie A, The Yellow and Reds has drawn 3 games and lost one. The capital club is 16th on the table, after wining three points from a possible 12.

Roma’s decision makers have decided to part ways with one of their own, Daniel De Rossi.
