Ghana was ranked 64 in the August Rankings by FIFA in the world but the latest one sees the country move backwards 6 places to 70.

Ghana lost 1-0 against Angola in matchday 1 of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers in Kumasi and disappointingly drew 1-1 in Berkane in Morocco against lowly Niger.

Due to the bad results in September, the Black stars are ranked 14th on the continent. Ghana lost 20.81 points in the rankings by FIFA.

Morocco remains on top of the African rankings and 14th in the world. Senegal is ranked 20th in the world but second in Africa.

The biggest winners is Angola who moves five places higher from 90 to 85 in the world and 17th on the continent due to the two wins over Ghana and Sudan. The Palancas Negras won +25.43 points and it’s the biggest by any team in the September rankings.
