Former Youth and Sports Minister Nii Lante Vanderpuye has voiced concerns about ongoing corruption within Ghana’s football community and various sporting federations.

“There is corruption in football now than Kwesi Nyantakyi’s era” – Nii Lante Vanderpuye said.

Ghana’s sporting community indeed is facing an unprecedented corruption.

The most popular sports in the country is football and the amount the government and the FA spend only on the Black Stars is unbelievable.

Lets start with the Black Stars! The senior national team is struggling to involve the local based players because they think they are not good enough. The issue of the Black Stars’ handlers thinking the Ghana Premier League stars are not good enough is very funny.

There are so many quality players in the league but they are always sidelined because they have no one at the helm to recommend them.

The former Sports Minister is never wrong because many former footballers have complained about not getting the chance to represent the youth teams of Ghana because they didn’t get the dough to settle what was requested. This has ended so many talented footballers’ career in Ghana.

The corruption in Ghanaian football is so insane to the extent that it led to the downfall of the former GFA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi but the former Sports Minister thinks the corruption in sports now is severe compared to Nyantakyi’s days.

Anas’ investigations should have been the turning point for the corruption that has bedevilled the nation for a long time.

Corruption has made the Football Association of Ghana forgotten their basic duties.

Ghana has been added to the list of the countries that do not have a venue that meets CAF’s standard and it’s all due to corruption.
