Angola needs just a draw against Niger in the return leg to secure a place in tbe 2025 AFCON after the 2-0 success in Luanda on Friday night over the West African minnows.

Ghana’s draw at home against Sudan was always going to serve as a motivation to Angola because thier main competitors had dropped points.

Estadio 11 do Novembro witnessed a great night with Pedro Goncalves men putting up another incredible home performance against Niger.

The first half saw the Nigerians limiting the Angolans to few attempts on goal as with the 6 goal attempts, only one was on target for the Palancas Negras.

However, the second half was a different story as the crowd roared Angola to victory.

Mabululu converted a penalty to give the home side the needed goal they had yelled for. Milson made it 2 with five minutes from full time to ensure a great night for Angola.

A total of an unbelievable 9 points have been amassed from the available 9 by Angola. Pedro Goncalves is on the verge of qualifying Angola to another AFCON. They just have to avoid defeat in Morocco in Week 4.
