Rapper, entrepreneur, record producer, singer, songwriter and fashion designer, Kanye West, 47, has advised the youth to take their High School education serious but College education should be a choice.
Kanye West shared his experience in life about education and success and he did not belittle any of the two.
“Most people are just going to school because their parents want them to, they don’t even know what they want. It’s all about being rich and happy and not degrees,” Ye said.
“I always tell people that College is a choice but high school is a necessity” Kanye continued.
High School education must be the minimum for everyone, per Kanye West. The “Love Locked Down” crooner stressed on the need for High school education as the minimum but College education must be a choice.
“A lot of times, people go to school because it’s what their parents want them to do, they’re chasing someone elses dream. People go through school and they spend $8000 to $15000 a year and they have no idea what they want”, West added.
“Before going to school, ask yourself: ‘what do I wanna do with my life?’ Sometimes you just need a couple of years after high school to get yourself together.
“The world needs plumbers, the world needs electricians, and creative people. Not degree holders because most determined high school dropouts are doing better than most degree holders,” the 24 Grammy Awards winner said.
“Ultimately, it’s all about being rich and happy. If you’re a man and you can provide for your family and be happy then you don’t have any other problem in life. But don’t just dropout of school if you’re not focused or you’ll end up in the strēēts,” Kanye West advised.
Is it all about the Benjamins as a man? Kanye West revealed that getting the cash to cater for your family as a man is the most important thing but not degrees.
However, he warned the youth not to droup out of school because the consequencies are unbearable.
Kanye West has 10 solo albums, 3 joint albums with Jay Z , Kid Cudi and Good Music since he released his first solo album, “College Dropout” in 2004.
