Sporting Lisbon’s 39-year-old Portuguese manager, Ruben Amorin has said yes to the vacant managerial role of English giants Manchester United.

Erik Ten Hag was sacked on early Monday morning after a horrible start to the season with the club sitting 14th on the league log after matchday 9.

Ruben Amorim has managed Sporting Lisbon since 2020 culminating in two Portuguese League titles and two Taca da Liga (Football League Cup) wins.

The young manager is one of the best up-and-coming coaches in Europe and the Red Devils expect him to bring them back to their glory days.

Manchester United are to pay 10 million Euros release clause because he is under contract at Sporting Lisbon.

The Portuguese manager has accepted the deal and the club is due to confirm his capture by the close of the week.
