Mohammed Kudus scored and received a red card in West Ham United’s 4-1 thumping at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London in round 8 of the EPL. Kudus put the Hammers ahead before the club saw a total collapse culminating in the embarrasing defeat.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian attacker lost his cool and slapped Dutch defender Micky van den Ven during a little fracas between the two.
He initially received a yellow card but after VAR’s consultation by referee Madley in the 86th minute, Kudus was sent off.
He has already served two games for the Hammers. Kudus missed West Ham’s 2-1 win over Man United and the 4-1 thrashing at Nottingham Forest. He is set to miss extra two games after the English FA on Wednesday sat on the case.
The Hammers’ winger has been given additional two-game ban amd also fined £60,000.
He will miss West Ham’s weekend fixture at the London Stadium against Everton and also the visit to St James Park to face Newcastle United soon after the international break.
Mo Kudus will return to action on 30th November when Westham United welcomes Arsenal in the EPL.
