In week 7, Porcupine Warriors drew 1-1 against Basake Holy Stars. Kotoko followed the disappointing draw with a very shocking 2-1 defeat to bottom-placed Legon Cities. Heart of Lions also beat Asante Kotoko 1-0 at the Len Clay Sports Stadium in obuasi in week 9.
