It was obvious that Aduana Stars were going to change their head coach if they didn’t beat Asante Kotoko in week 12 of the Ghana Premier League at home.

Results have been horrible for the Ogya Boys in the league after winning just 2, drawing six and losing four in the 12 played. This is very unacceptable because the club sits 14th on the log having amassed just 12 points with just three points ahead of the bottom-placed side Accra Lions.

On Sunday at the Nana Agyeman Badu ll Stadium in Dormaa-Ahenkro, Aduana lost 2-0 against their bitter rivals Asante Kotoko. The defeat has forced the hierarchy of the Ogya Boys to sack head coach Yaw Joachim Acheampong.

The club wrote on their X account,
“Aduana FC and Head Coach Acheampong have parted ways, effective immediately.

“We wish him the best in his future endeavours!”, Aduana stars added.

Yaw Joachim Acheampong has been under immense pressure, and everything showed that he was never going to turn things around for Aduana Stars.

The Ogya Boys are now on the market for a new head coach.
