Mohammed Salah has scored 13 goals and provided eight assists in the ongoing English Premier League, helping Liverpool to occupy the top spot in the league.

In the UCL, the 32-year-old has provided four assists and scored one goal, all of which have also helped the Reds stay top of the table.

Mo Salah’s contribution has been immeasurable as he keeps on assisting the club to reach greater heights.

The former Chelsea forward joined Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp’s tenure from AS Roma in 2017 in a deal worth an initial £35.6m that could rise to £43m depending on the performances the Egyptian will put up.

Mohammed Salah has exceeded expectations having won EPL,
UCL, FA Cup, EFL Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and many other competitions for the Reds.

His contract is due to expire at the end of the current campaign. Liverpool had remained quiet on the renewal of Salah’s contract forcing the winger to break his silence after the club’s hard-fought 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town.

“I’m more in than out”, the forward said after the win over Ipswich. The comments divided the Anfield supporters’ opinion, with some saying that he’s 32 and doesn’t deserve a long-term deal.

Others made it clear that their star deserves the three-year deal he’s requesting.

News emanating from the camp of Arne Slot’s Liverpool says that the club and the Egyptian forward have reached an agreement for a two-year deal. The news will unquestionably be the best so far in the season for the Reds.

Star defender Virgil Van Dijk, who is also set to be a free agent in the summer, has rejected a contract renewal offer, per multiple sources.

Liverpool offered Virgil van Dijk a one-year contract that will expire in June 2026, with the possibility of an extension for an additional year if specific requirements are met, albeit at a slight pay reduction.

Van Dijk and his entourage, however, were not happy with the offer and are demanding a two-year contract that would expire in June 2027 and pay comparable to his current contract. To find a solution, both parties are still in communication.

Trent-Alexander Arnold is also set to be a free agent but no agreement has been reached between the two.
