FIFA on Wednesday afternoon confirmed Saudi Arabia as the country to host the 2023 FIFA World Cup.

The 2030 World Cup will be hosted across three continents. South American countries Uruguay, Paraguay, and Argentina will host some of the games. Spain and Portugal from Europe and Morocco from Africa will also host matches in the 48-team tournament.

The two World Cups winning bids were announced by FIFA on Wednesday.

Australia was due to bid for the tournament to be played in 2034 but decided to end their bid as Saudi Arabia became the clear favourite for it.

FIFA is expected to confirm all the details about the winning bids and the 2034 World Cup especially.
