Morocco and PSG right-back Achraf Hakimi was so smart to have had all his money and properties registered in his mother’s name.

The 26-year-old would by now be laughing at the wrong side of his mouth.

When Hakimi had a little disagreement with his wife, Hiba Abouk, 38, the Spanish actress who was a decade and two years older than the Moroccan superstar, decided to seek divorce with the idea that he was going to get compensation from the law court.

Court confirmed to her that Achraf Hakimi has nothing in his name, but rather he has registered all his properties in his mother’s name. Abouk was broken and extremely disappointed. The news made Achraf Hakimi so popular and until now, he remains popular among many young men.

Hakimi appeared on the popular YouTube programme ABTalks, hosted by Anas Bukhash and made revelations about his failed marriage.

“My mother (Saida Mouh) has managed my money since the beginning of my career. She makes sure that I don’t spend too much. A mother is the only person who will love you, whether you are rich or poor,” the defender said.

Achraf has earned a lot of money from football after playing for giants like Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan before moving to PSG. He has credited it to his mother for being able to manage his money matters since he started professional football.

Bukhash asked him, “What does love mean to you?”

“That’s a difficult question,” Achraf laughed cheekily.

The Atlas Lions star did not hold back when discussing the lessons learned from his two-year marriage to Abouk.

“I learned to love myself more, take care of myself more, and take care of the people around me.

“When you are in a relationship, you tolerate many things that you can’t tolerate with other people. I learned that by myself.

“When I was married, I tolerated many things I won’t tolerate now…and I wondered, why did I tolerate these things?”

“That [marriage] taught me a lot and made me stronger, and also made me know what I want. And I know now that if I enter a relationship, I can handle it very well!”

Achraf Hakimi and his mother are inseparable as the footballer has been spotted severally with his mother in footbstadiumadia, sharing wonderful mother-colourful moments.
