Cody Gakpo is enjoying life to the brim at Liverpool. The Dutch international has played a very key role in Liverpool’s quest for their second EPL title in the last three decades.

The former PSV Eindhoven forward joined the Reds in January 2023 under Jurgen Klopp, and he is now a big-name player under Arne Slot at Anfield.

In an exclusive interview with the Players Tribune, the 25-year-old Eindhoven-born made a shocking revelation about how a pastor prophesized his future move to Liverpool.

“I am a man guided by my faith. So, one day, I had a meeting with the pastor from my church. This other pastor said, “Can I tell you something?”, Gakpo said.

“This was before any big clubs had come knocking on my door. And he said that God told him that I would go to Liverpool. I kind of laughed it off like, Yeah, nice, we will see about that,” the forward said.

Having faith in the Lord always pays as Gakpo revealed that he is guided by his faith.

Cody Gakpo has scored 8 goals and provided 3 assists for Liverpool in the EPL helping them comfortably sit on the top of the table.
