The problem is incessant and it seems to not be stopping anytime soon.

Even the Average Joe knows that Hearts of Oak’s major issue in recent years has been goalscoring, but the issue has escalated in the current season, leading the team to lose precious points regularly.

Phobia’s 1-0 defeat against Nations at the Tuba Astro Turf was no exception. Phobia created clear goalscoring opportunities but failed to utilise any.

Head coach of Hearts of Oak coach, Abubakar Ouattara, after the game complained bitterly about the club’s inability to finish off opponents.

“Before the game, I told you Nations FC is a strong side, and today, unfortunately, we lost and the same disaster is in our team: the ability to score,” Ouattara said.

Phobia now sits 6th on the table after 24 matches trailing leaders Asante Kotoko by eight points. Since the resumption of the league, Hearts of Oak has failed to live up to the expectations and the head coach is expected to be under immense pressure once again if results do not change sooner.
