Kapital Radio is incorporated under the name Imperial Broadcasting Company ltd. We are located at Dr Donkor Forduor Avenue  Nhyaeso Kumasi, Ashanti Region Ghana.

Kapital Radio went on air on July 1 1997 .  The coverage of our broadcast is 45km radius from our location as stipulated by the National Communication Authority.

We are a music and news station therefore we play a variety of songs targeted to meet the musical needs of the youth and adults. Hence our slogan “THE HEART OF MUSIC”

Because of our program philosophy we enjoy a 30% share of a total population of over 2 million people in Ashanti Region.

Kapital Radio is the second private radio station to go on air in Ashanti Region on the frequency modulation of 97.1. We went on air live in September 1996 with top notch presenters who pushed us to the top making Kapital the leading radio station and a powerful brand in Ghana. 

Our first CEO is Mrs. Judith Agyemang the first female to have led a powerful team in the FM radio industry.

We have run social intervention programs to support the youth and women in the society. Eg we took a woman and her three kids begging off the streets. We enrolled the kids in a school and gave the woman money to trade with.

Kapital Radio is affiliated to international radio stations like the BBC. DW etc,  

Currently, Mr. Vincent Korsi Asiseh Jnr. leads workforce that is made up of competent staffs that are well trained to provide professional services to clients and stakeholders.
