Two more suspects related to the robbery of a jewellery store in Adabraka have been apprehended by the Ghana Police Service after a thorough investigation.
The individuals, named Hamza Agerego, also known as Nene Bawku or Lambert, and Alhassan Elliasu, referred to as Arab Man, were arrested on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at their hideout locations in Ashaiman.
Hamza Agerego was initially arrested and held at the Katamanso District Police Headquarters regarding the robbery.
The police carried out an operation in Ashaiman, resulting in the arrest of suspect Alhassan Elliasu at his location.
A search of the location resulted in the discovery of two pump-action shotguns, forty-three rounds of AK47 ammunition, two hundred thirty-nine BB cartridges, four bulletproof vests, one black boot, one black face mask, two machetes, two Samsung mobile phones, one iPhone 13, a wristwatch, and a CCTV monitor.
The suspects are in police custody, assisting with the investigation, and will appear in court to face legal proceedings.
