Burkina Faso will start their campaign against fellow West Africans, Mauritania. The 2013 runners-up have been incredible in AFCON recently as they have become one of the most difficult teams to break down. The Eagles of Carthage will square off against Namibia in Group E. Tunisia will make a record 16 consecutive AFCON appearances as they have immense experience at this level although recent results have been inconsistent.

Namibia is led by Mamelodi Sundowns hitman, Peter Shalulile as the underdogs but you cannot entirely write off the Brave Warriors. Namibia doesn’t have many superstars but can be harmful on any day as they exhibited against Cameroon in the qualifiers.

Mali 🇲🇱 v South Africa 🇿🇦

The Bafana Bafana of South Africa will kick off their 2023 AFCON campaign with a huge fixture against Mali. Hugo Broos knows how it feels to win the AFCON as he said yesterday ahead of the game in the pre-match conference.
