With just 9 days to Ghana’s make or break tie against Sudan, it has been confirmed by CAF officially that the Black Stars can play at the Accra Sports Stadium opposing the rumours that the Cape Coast Stadium was due to host the fixture.
The 2025 AFCON will resume next week with Ghana set to clash with Kwesi Appiah’s Sudan on matchday 3 of the qualifiers. Ghana has not won any of the two games played so far putting the team under immense pressure.
Angola won 1-0 in Kumasi against Ghana in the first game ending the Black Stars’ 24 year unbeaten run at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Niger shared the spoils in MD2 in Berkane. That results has put Ghana under pressure facing Sudan.
CAF confirmed that none of Ghana’s venue meets their required standard ahead of the Sudan clash. The decison forced the NSA to do the needful by working on the pitch and other detoriorated parts of the Accra Sports Stadium.
CAF inspection team has given green light for the venue to host Ghana.
Ghana will play Sudan at 4 pm at the Accra Sports Stadium on next week Thursday.
