The Cape Coast Sports Stadium has been confirmed as the venue for Ghana’s MD3 crucial fixture against Sudan.
CAF listed Ghana among the countries that do not have standard venues to host senior national teams games.
Ghana lost 1-0 to Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the opening game of the Morocco 2025 qualifiers. After the game, Angola head coach Pedro Goncalves made it clear that Ghana must be above the current state regarding sporting facilities.
CAF in some few days later decided to halt Ghana from playing against Sudan at the Kumasi Sports Stadium.
The Sports Ministry of Ghana requested CAF to visit the Accra Sports Stadium and Cape Coast Sports Stadium for inspection. CAF visited the two venues over the weekend and has finally approved the CAPE COAST SPORTS STADIUM for the Sudan clash.
It’s a piece of good news to the nation as it has saved her from a huge disgrace.
The Black Stars will host Sudan on 11th October at 4 pm in cape Coast.
