The last day for the September international break for Africa was concluded with Zambia defeating Sierra Leaone 3-2 in Lusaka. Kennedy Musonda, Kampamba and Kings Kangwa were all on the score sheet for the Chipolopolos.

Earlier on, Yves Bissouma’s sole strike helped Mali record a 1-0 win over Eswatini.

Elias Macamo’s 73rd minute strike helped Mozambique record an impressive 2-1 win against Guinea Bissau.

Rwanda and Nigeria played a goalless draw in Kigali at the Stade Amahoro. Austin Eguavon won a point in his second game for Nigeria.

South Sudan in Juba lost 3-2 against Bafana Bafana with Oswin Appollis scoring brace for South Africa.

Mohammed Trezeguet scored a brace for Egypt in their 4-0 thumping of Botswana. Mohamed Salah and Fathi scored the other goals.

Ivory Coast defeated Chad 2-0 as Caprle Verde triumphed 2-0 over Mauritania.

Burkina Faso, Benin and Gabon all recorded home wins over Mali, Libya and Central Africa Republic respectively.

Algeria at away defeated Liberia 3-0 with Gouiri, Zorgane and Bounedjah all on target.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon secured a point against Zimbabwe away from home while Kenya recorded a rare 2-1 away win against Namibia.

Young African’s star midfielder Yaya Mudathir’s 88th minute stike helped Tanzania record a great 2-1 win against Guinea.
