Finally, the new government has been ushered in, with the old one led by Nana Akufo Addo, now a thing of the past.
Incumbent NPP unbelievably lost to NDC in both the presidential and parliamentary elections in the 7th December General Elections
2024 was all about massive changes as delegates made it clear that they needed changes in the NPP before even the main elections.
One of the Members of Parliament who suffered in the NPP’s parliamentary election in the various constituencies was Juaben Constituency’s Ama Pomaa Boateng.
Nicknamed “Obaa Naa”, she lost to now the MP of Asante Juaben, Francis Owusu-Akyaw. He ended Pomaa’s three terms consecutively as the MP of Juaben, which was decided by the delegates.
Ama Pomaa has thanked the people of Juaben for their support in her 12-year reign on her X account.
Dear Constituents,
Tonight as I hand over the baton to the next representative, my heart is filled with deep gratitude. Serving as your MP for three consecutive terms has been one of the greatest honours of my life. Together, we have journeyed through challenges and triumphs, always to uplift Constituency and make our community stronger.
It has been an honour to serve as an honour to serve as Ghana’s Representative to the ECOWAS Parliament and a distinct privilege to contribute as a member of the Middle East Council of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
I extend my sincere thanks to the President of the Republic for entrusting me with the responsibility of serving as Deputy Minister for Communications and Digitalization. It has been a privilege to contribute to Ghana’s digital transformation agenda, and I am proud of the strides we have made as a nation.
To my constituents, thank you for believing in me, standing by me, and walking this path with me. While my time as your MP has come to an end, my commitment to the development of Juaben Constituency and Ghana remains steadfast.
As a new parliament is ushered in, let us all continue to work together for the progress of our beloved country.
God bless Juaben Constituency, God bless Ghana.
