The founder and leader of Heaven Way Champion International Ministry, Patricia Asiamah, a.k.a. Nana Agradaa, has been denied bail by the Amasaman Circuit Court.

The former fetish priest, turned evangelist, and the lawyers were expecting her to be granted bail. “We wanted bail pending appeal, and the court did not grant it. The court has given an order that the Circuit Court furnish the court with all the processes needed for the appeal. We will continue the appeal process,” Dr. Asamoah, one of the team members of Agradaa, told CitiNews.

Agradaa was sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Circuit Court, which was presided over by Justice Evelyn Asamaoh, after being found guilty of engaging in charlatanic advertisement and false pretence.

Her lawyers have filed for appeal, stating that her trial was unjust. Lawyer Richard Asare Baffour, leader of Agradaa’s legal team, has revealed that they have sent a petition to the High Court for fair justice.

Ghanaians are still divided over her sentence, as many were spotted at the Court’s premises on Tuesday waiting patiently to have a glimpse of Nana Agradaa.
