After two qomder seasons at Bournemouth, Spanish manager Andoni Araola has satisfied and impressed Bournemouth and many other top teams in Europe with his stellar leadership.
The 42-year-old has punched above his weight since signing for the lowly Bournemouth. The Cherries have been struggling with Garry Oneil and decided to hire the former Rayo Vallecano’s manager, and the decision, which initially looked like a wrong one, eventually became the best.
London-based club Tottenham Hotspur has been struggling in the season with their Australian manager, Ange Postecoglu finding it very tough to repeat last season’s performance.
It looks very clear that Daniel Levy will sack him and look for a new manager for the 2025-26 season. The club has been eyeing Andoni Iraola, but they will hear a piece of very disappointing news soon as the Spaniard is set to agree on a long-term deal with the Cherries.
Iraola’s contract will expire in 2026 summer, and the club has agreed on a new two-year deal which will keep him until 2028 June.
Bournemouth are still in competition for a UCL slot after the 1-0 win over Fulham via Antoine Semenyo’s early goal on Monday night.
The club is seven points behind the final Champions League position, which is occupied by Manchester City after week 32.
