Andre Ayew’s snub by Otto Addo has caused many reactions from the Ghanaian football fraternity with many hoping that Ghana will give him a biding farewell one day because his time is over.
Mohammed Polo, the former Accra Hearts of Oak and Black Stars forward has expressed his thoughts on Ayew’s exclusion from the team to face Mali and Central African Republic.
In an interview with Connect 97.1FM, Polo said, “Football is like that; everyone has their time. Naturally, anything that has a start has an end. All of us should be playing by now if it is not normal in football. He should take it in good faith,”.
The legendary Polo advised the skipper to take the head coach’s decision in good fate because everyone will retire from the national team.
“When Gyan was leaving the national team, they took the captaincy from him to Dede, and he left. That is exactly what is happening to the latter too,” Polo added.
Andre Ayew helped Le Havre avoid relegation in the French Ligue 1 after playing 20 games in all competitions and scoring 6 goals.
Ghana will face Mali in Bamako and host Central African Republic in Kumasi.
