Black Stars striker Antoine Semenyo delivered a stellar performance for Bournemouth in their 3-1 victory against Southampton on Monday evening at the Vitality Stadium.

The forward contributed both a goal and an assist, playing a crucial role in his team’s dominant win.

Bournemouth opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Evanilson finished off a precise assist from Marcus Tavernier.

The home side doubled their lead 15 minutes later, as Dango Ouattara capitalized on a well-timed pass from Lewis Cook.

Semenyo added to Bournemouth’s advantage just before halftime, netting their third goal of the evening in the 39th minute with another assist from Cook, giving the Cherries a comfortable 3-0 lead going into the break.

Southampton managed to respond early in the second half, with Taylor Harwood-Bellis heading in from a set piece in the 51st minute to make it 3-1.

Despite enjoying 60% possession and making several changes, Southampton couldn’t break down Bournemouth’s defense further.

Semenyo’s goal, his third of the season, proved vital in securing Bournemouth’s fifth-ever victory against Southampton, narrowing the gap in their head-to-head record.

Bournemouth will now look ahead to their next match against Leicester City.
